I guess I haven't posted in awhile so here I go. Its been crazy busy lately but in exciting news...I bought my plane ticket to India!!!! And I have a stop over in London!! You hear that Rebecca!!! On the way back the stop over is 24 hours so we should try and meet up. I leave March 5 from Hali, meet Car in montreal then fly to London then Mumbai then take a little charter flight to Bangalore!! I'll be comin' back on May 6. I am sooo ready for Halloween. I have 2 midterms this week and on wednesday the OT girls are having a huge halloween party (the PTs are having one upstairs from ours, haha) then we'll be going to Bubbles!! Eeeek The OT ball is also coming up really soon, which reminds me if anyone wants to go shopping I need a dress. I have my eye on a dress from Le Chateau. The theme for this years ball is "Old Hollywood" Its going to be fun. Even I am excited to get all dolled up. My friend Jan's bday is also next week and she's having a Kartbhan bday party with icecream cake, pizza and loot bags. Remember all those parties with Loot Bags!!!! EEk Any Okay I'm late for class but if anyone has a racing jersey, I want it!!!! Cheers Suz | | Monday, July 2nd, 2007 | | 11:46 pm |

Unfortunately I'm not getting cable so no grey's at my place...but definitly movie nights. Tv is kinda sucky tho... | | Friday, June 15th, 2007 | | 1:17 pm |
Takin' a long late lunch
I'm just kickin' back and taking a long lunch so I figure I would post an entry and let you know what's going on. I'm kinda scared that I started doing community OT before acute OT because I'm really really starting to enjoy community OT. I don't htink i can go back and start working 9-5 in an institution anymore. You get to go when you want, and break when you want and stop on the side of the road near a lake and do your charting whenever you want. Its pretty sweet. I should take a picture of the hot Vibe they let me drive around too. I was up in Minto yesterday (some small town East of Oromocto) and this gas station were selling these fake crocs for like 6$. Of course...I bought some. Hehe. My view is that they are fake, so technically...I'm not surcomming to the horrid frenzy. All of you kids (almost all i guess) are probalby getting back to Hali. I'm excited to come home and see you. I think we should all buy tickets for the concert on the hill. The bands arne't bad and it will be super fun. Anyhoo, seems my lunch is almost over. I'm alive
So a few people wanted my addy in Freddie so here it is. 672 GRAHAM AVE FREDERICTON NB E3B 4C3. This apartment is really lax with tons of drunk students, so I wouldn't send anything to big or of worth. We don't lock our doors ever and half the time I come home from work, the door is left wide open. But I guess with 5 girls running around, there is always at least someone one oddly enough. Freddie is entertaining so far, I don't know how it'll hold out in 8 more weeks tho. We'll see. I did go to the saturday market though, I'm sad to say that it is better than the one in hali. Delicioius Thai food and amazing samosas (an OT sells them too...he has like 10 different types!!!). I think we're heading up to Maine this weekend for a blow out shopping spree with all of our stipends. If I become homeless next month, it is because I spent way too much money shopping. Work is amazing. We get to be on the road a lot which is nice when its so sunny out. Its a lot better than being couped up in some office from 9-5. My first client/patient that I'll be dealing with on my own is a 45 yo woman with CP. I'm going to design a communication board for her so she can finally tell people what she's thinking or what she's want. Its going to be awesome. I have a lot of other cases too, but I dont' think they would be too interesting to any of you. Sometimes I feel like Erin Brocovich, going to different homes and memorizing all these phone numbers and yelling at vendors and suppliers for these people trying to get free equipment. Haha. I usually get my way. Haven't even used my boobs yet! The only thing that kinda sucks about this placement is that Janice forces me to listen to Fergie on the way there AND on the way back EVERYDAY. I feel that I'm being brainwash. And its not even different songs...its the same song! Its been amazing having the time to go to the gym whenever I want and to eat what I want. Interestingly I've been sort of a health nut. I guess my mom's brainwashing did work. I haven't even eaten meat since I've been here. I think Mark might be comin' up to fix that. Haha we'll see. Hopefully he'll get a trip up here with Ian and Jeff before they head out west. Damn engineers. Bah this is a long enough entry. | | Tuesday, April 17th, 2007 | | 5:51 pm |
Haven't posted in awhile
Hey guys, Long time no post and a lot has happened since the last time I posted. So today, Cynthia and I just found out that we are moving into 1055 Lucknow St. Apt 401. I'm excited, a little freaked out because I didn't think it was actually going to happen. We'll be on the same floor as one of my other friends from OT, Dee. So it will be a blast. Most of you probably don't even know who Cynthia is. Haha. Atleast some of you will meet her in the summer. She's from Toronto, so a little crazy. On a fun note. Teri, Carly and I (more OT chicks) made ninja shirts. Mine's still at Teri's otherwise I would put a pick of it on here. But check out facebook in a few days, I'm sure there will be a pic of it there. Anyways, the shirts are blue and on the front it says "Trust me, I'm a ninja". Its sooo adorable. Haha. I'm not sure when the joke of ninja's started, but it has been ongoing all year. A little confusing, I know. These girls leave tommorow, and I will not know what I will do with myself when they leave. Dammit, will my friends stop leaving! Oh well, we're planning a huuuge camping trip, so I'll see them sometime in July. Hmm...what else...Oh yeah. I finished my first year of OT last friday. What the fuck? Where did the last year go???? This had got to be, one of the fastest years of my life. It feels like all you kids just left 2 weeks ago for Asia. Holy Jeepers. I leave for Oromocto in two weeks and Mark leaves for the Dominican in 1 week. It hasn't even occured to me that we'll be apart for 9 weeks. And honestly, I don't even care. I will be with a whole bunch of kids in Freddie. I'm living in Fredericton, and Janice and I will be commuting to Oromocto everyday. My future roomate, whom I've only met on facebook, and I have a plan to join an ultimate frizbee team in Fredericton to get rid of our muffin top. Maybe I'll start running again. Who knows. I love the idea of not having to do school work when I get home at 4pm now. I can actually cook, see people, go out, do fun activities, etc. Yay. Some of the kids goign to Freddie (Erin, Trisha and Janice) think they can actually corrupt me. WTF?? We'll see who does the corrupting. I just don't think they've ever seen me in full force. Hmm...what else is new...not too sure. Ooooh my new apartment has a roof patio where they supply us with bbqs...so come the summer. I will be hosting plenty of bbq parties. Yum!! That is all I can think of right now. There's probalby so much more but I can't think right now. Everything is just moving too fast. Ahhh. Everyone around me is so stressed from packing. My friend Becca missed her flight to Van and had to pay 150$ hahahaha. I guess I might be more stressed in a week when I start packing. Janice drives this little VW car, and she is the girliest person you will ever meet. So I have no idea how we'll get all of our luggage to Fredericton. It will be an adventure. Anyways kids. Hope to hear from all of you soon. I know some of you are comin' home late June. I'm excited. And I'm glad you will all be there to help me move in Aug 1. My once in a very long time update
Hey Kids, Just procrasinating a little so thought I would do a little update on LJ. The OT gals held an official sexy girl party (probably not so raunchy fantasia party) but equally as fun and had many many sex toys. But unfortunately... visa + rum = too much story telling and too much buying. Oh well. Apparently the person who hosts these parties gets 10% of all sales...I'm going to have to look into hosting one of these. Perhaps just not in my parent's house. heh. Anyways after that, a few of us headed out to the Troom and then to the Pogue. Anyways New Year's was a blast. Mark and Ed had a party at their new place and a good number of people showed up. We were even able to see the fireworks from the balcony which was awesome. And Dan opened his bottle of Champagne on the balcony and everyone took belts from it. I of course was completely drunk. We played a bunch of drinking games until a few of us could not coherently go on. We only got 3 noise complaints...which I guess isn't too bad. Although the next one apparently will cost them 450$..and the one after that will be 900$. Ouch. Christmas at the Le's was slack as usual. Tree up at 12:05am Christmas morning. Presents wrapped and presentable before lunch. Football blaring in the background as we attempt to eat as a functional family. Oh the fun. The 'rents basically gave us money and told us to go out and buy our own christmas presents...haha. Not surprinsing at all. One good present I got tho was from Mark. Originally he asked me what I wanted and I barked at him saying "I'm not going to tell you what to get me, you should know. Just surprise me and make me happy". Heh. Then I settled for...sigh...I'll go to Aldo and pick out some boots and put them on hold...but apparently he knew how expensive that would have been for him. Haha. Anyways so he gave me a card and a tobarone bar (a very huge one). The card read "Pack your bathing suit baby, love Mark" Then i opened the Tobarone bar and inside of it somehow was this pamphlet to White point Beach. So he bought us a weekend there. Was very impressive and cute. The next month, I don't have classes within the school but a lot of outside projects. It seems that OTs do a lot of program planning and evaluation stuff. So we're getting sent to Health Agencies to help them plan programs or stuff like that. I'm being sent to the VMB to help them rate the effectiveness of cognitive assessments on geriatric patients. Should be fun...enough. Anyways, off to hit the books. Later kids | | Tuesday, November 28th, 2006 | | 4:05 pm |
Oh Client-Simulated Exams
Remember when "I" used to be the pretend patient...well these exams aren't so fun when you are ACTUALLY DOING them. I had to pretty much get an occupational history of a client who has schizophrenia and homeless and negotiate with them two goals within 10 mins. Not very fun, because 10 mins is really not long at all. Especially when the client is being so goddamn difficult. "All I wanna do is smoke" !! Oh well. Only made a few people in my class cry. I guess that's not too bad. Oh a happier note...I am swamped until dec 13... I can't believe its the last week of school already!!!!! Oh a weird note...Mark's uncle (Shaun...I think only Holly knows him) convince me to buy a proline ticket the other day which one 70$. But I nearly had 100 heart attacks during the basketball game. I do believe its time for coffee #3... Current Music: Typing from the Kellogg Dungeon | | Monday, October 30th, 2006 | | 7:46 pm |
Hilarious Weekend
I love Halloween. So I decided to slurge on Halloween this year and rent a costume from that shop on Barrington St near Greg's place. I ended up picking up a Hello Kitty Butterfly costume which included: - pink and black stripped tights - flowy see-through black skirt - wings - antellas/pink hair - Hello kitty jewelery - long pink gloves - and then i went to superstore to buy this cute black slipper type shoes (I would post a pic...but they're all on Ian's camera...as soon as I get them I will post) Mark dressed up as a cow...it was basically teh shittiest costume ever...and because he was too damn lazy and didn't want to try it on in teh store it turned out to be too small for him and he couldn't sit the whole night!! hahahaha...still makes me laugh just thinking about it. So Ian and I decided to venture into superstore/liquor store in our outfits...turned out...wasn't such a hit. Lots of stares...haha...whatev. Jen's party was pretty much a hit, shopping for decorations was soooo fun. I was like a kid in a candy store, didn't quite know when to stop. Who cares when ur shopping with C's debit card right??? We played kings at Jen's...turned out to be very dangerous, especially when Ian brings out the 151 Inner circle. 1 shot of that and about 5 jello shooters later (plus my actual drinks) I was out. Haven't been that drunk in forever...2 weekends before. I had a lot of serious conversations with Pyne which revolved around how we almost got together during that time...you know what time. The conversation was actually kinda weird now that I think of it...good think I was drunk. Anyways, so i was too out of it to meet up with my OT girls (a bunch of them were flapper dancers! and 3 of them were the 3 blind mice and 2 were geisha's!!) But it was good...I love waking up to Mark puking....twice! So we caught a cab at 530 and went home (marks). I could hear Colin say "They're just getting home now!!" as we were coming in, lol...he..he. Sunday was pretty much a write-off. I had to sober up for my BROOMBALL game at 11pm. For you that don't, Broomball is a hilarious game like hockey except brooms and huge ball and no skates. So you move in super slow mo except for those kids who don't mind falling on their assess. Anyways, we beat the stupid engineering team (they were so cocky!) so we were happy. Ahhh...what a long post. I've turned into Andrea!!!! FUNNY STORY...
First of all, I'm okay and no harm was done. So... I was taken hostage today. At duffus health center. Some 30s black guy came in and pretty much said that he was taking me hostage. He wanted to clear his name or something. So he made me call a newscast, I called CBC hoping Dave Pate would come and save me. Anyways, he let me call her doctor first and so I got her to call the cops. I tried talking to him as long as I oculd so that she could have sufficient time with the cops. Finally he was like, lock the doors, get the doctor out NOW. So I did that pretty slowly. He didn't have a weapon that I could see but I wasn't going to take any chances. So I went to the back and he followed than Dr. Verma came out and told me that she was going to take my hostage position. He coudln't really aruge i guess so I went back with the patients and the other doctors who was on the phone. Dr. Verma was like a rock tho, didn't scare her one bit. I wasn't too scared, just the initial "I'm taking you hostage". Anyways we waited for the "ok" from the police to go out of the emergency exit. The exit sounds when its open so they wanted to wait until they had him in posession before opening it. So we ran out of there down this hallway with all these doors. Then we get tot he main door to go outside and its jammed. Its this really really old door, rusty and shit. I was like "MOVE OUTTA THE FUCKIN' WAY". I have never hit anything harder in my life. So we got out and I had to ride around in the back of the cop car for like an hour while i gave them my statement while pictures were taken of me. Great. My hour of fame. Turns out tho, he did have a big knife on him, luckily he didn't use it against me. The whole time he kept on eyeballing me and checking me out, I wanted to kick his ass so much. Urgh. I think I just need to chill right now. Sigh. I clearly do not get paid enough for this job. | | Tuesday, April 25th, 2006 | | 11:00 am |
